The Colonels exploded for 493 yards and 41 points in the first half on their way to an big win over the Golden Eagles. Bennie Coney threw 5 touchdown passes for Eastern. EKU moves to 3-2 and 2-0 in the OVC.

Big win for the Colonels after a couple of crazy weeks!

I'd like to give a shout out to the police officers from the various law enforcement agencies that attended the game last night and made everyone feel safe. I saw officers from EKU, UK, Georgetown City, Scott County, Harrison County and the Kentucky State Police. I know there were several others but those are the ones that I talked to. Also, thanks to Georgetown College for their hospitality.

Great win for Eastern, you always wonder how young men will react to all the distractions. Good for them.

How was the crowd?

The home side bleachers were pretty much full. Tennessee Tech probably brought led than 100 people. I think the official attendance was 3900. It's a shame that it had to be moved. I think they'd have had a huge crowd at Roy Kidd Stadium with school in session.

Please pardon my ignorance but why was the game moved.
