This is by far the best game in 4A this week. Franklin County had been rolling to a 6-0 start, but it came crashing down around them via a 23-0 loss to Collins, which dropped them to 1-1 in the district. Meanwhile, Spencer County is off to the best start in school history at 7-0, which includes a win over the same Collins team two weeks ago 35-14. They're 2-0 in the district, and can put a stranglehold on the crucial #1 seed with a win here. Who takes it down?

I think Franklin had the fire power to do so but I don't think they have the discipline to do so. I'll take spencer in this one. If Franklin wins this one, you talk about a messed up district standing.

I agree. Franklin County has the talent but I don't think they can execute well enough or keep penalties down enough to win. It's gonna take a nearly flawless game to knock of the Bears. If they do, things get really interesting in District 4.

Franklin has the talent, but lacks the discipline. Don't get me wrong I love my Flyers, but I think this one will go to the Bears.

I didn't even see the talent last week the game was on turf it was not that muddy to get shut out!!! Hope the Flyers can get back to the basics blocking and tackling. The Kids have found a way to win 6 in spite of themselves last few weeks and that finally caught up with them! Maybe this is a wake up call.

I believe that District and playoff games are about match ups.

Flyers need to regroup , and get busy focusing on discipline. Talent only takes you so far and technique is king. District is the most important games , the Flyers have the talent. Hope they get it back on track. Best of Luck to both teams

Coaching staff should have the flyers ready for this matchup. Speed kills and I don't believe Spencer has the speed that most people think they possess.

I think that I am going to go for the upset in this one. Franklin got a huge wakeup call last week and should be more focused. Spencer has really been shut down the last 2 weeks. Collins D held them down some and N. Old. really shut them down and I don't by the slop as an excuse. Just a hunch but I am going with Franklin...

Heard there was a tragedy in spencer co. last night involving some high schools kids. Hopefully it doesn't directly involve in of the Spencer players. Hearts go out to that school.

Collins held them down? Spencer had 500 plus rushing yards and 35 points. As for the North Oldham game it was the worst field conditions I have seen in a long time neither team could move the ball because of the conditions. North Oldham is better than what their record shows and they will have a big say in the district standings.

They had a lot of yards, but Spencer County only had 13 points with 6 minutes to go. It took an epic collapse from Collins for the Bears to put up 35 points. So I think it is fair to say Collins was able to hold Spencer in check for the most part (obviously not the last 6 minutes though). However, they still have a very potent offense, no doubt.

Time will tell, let's go Flyers get back on the right track! Three phases of the game and believe in each other.

That is true they only had 13 points with 6 to play but if spencer scores either of the times they got stopped on their goal line I feel as if the game would have opened up and spencer would have rolled but kudos to Collins for putting those stops together. Either way these are two very good football teams.
