NFL Sunday Ticket

Featured Replies

Doesn't seem to work for me. :irked:

I called last week threatening to leave and while they did lower my bill by about $20 a month, they wouldn't give in and give me Sunday Ticket.

Dang. Really? That sucks. I got mine free this season.

Pretty much. They want your business.

I'm definitely going to try that next year. I have mine free this year just because I just started Directv a few months ago when I moved into my house.

I think Sunday Ticket is operated by another company (i.e. not Direct TV) so I'm a bit surprised that they can give it to you for free (unless it's your first year). This is my 2nd year with Direct TV and I did call to complain because they "automatically renewed" my Sunday Ticket for a lesser package which did not include RedZone or the live streaming. I called to cancel & was upgraded (for free) to NFL Sunday Ticket Max (including Red Zone & Live Streaming) and also received 20% off. I then got transferred back to Direct TV where I was able to negotiate a couple more discounts and almost cut my bill in half.

You just threaten to cancel unless you get it free?

Yep. I sent a few people my strategy a lined out in a PM a few years ago. I think PP was one...it works doesn't it ?

I always deal with directv and I always at least get Sunday ticket half off.

I could use that strategy next year then. I thoroughly enjoy hooking a second tv up in my living room and having multiple games going.

Just call and ask. If your contract is up or close, you should get it easy. If not you just have to find the right person

Unfortunately my contract will only be halfway through next year when the football season rolls around. But I for darn sure will give it a shot.

I had to call 3 different times to make sure that they did no renew the package cause I kept getting notifications that said I was all said.

On the third time the guy said he could get me this great deal. I asked did that great deal cost me a $1 more than I'm paying now. Of course it did, so I said I didn't want it.

Told them I wanted it in writing in an email that I will not be charged for NFL Sunday Ticket. Would have been nice if they offered it for free because of my hassle.

And I want to note, I'm a big fan of DirecTV compared to their competitors.

If you go in with a plan and get to the marketing department that is there to keep current customers happy, bingo. You can't just use price only.
