Male does have the right to complain about an easy schedule, but not because of Trinity. Male won decisively, but Trinity remains the second best team in state. If Male feel they are not being challenged in-state maybe they should schedule some out-of-state powers instead of Fairdale, Seneca, Western, and Floyd Central.

 

Though, I have a feel you are merely attempting to stir the pot and don't really care about either schedule.

Could you explain this? Almost all Trinity fans readily admitted Male was capable of winning before the game.

 

And we are not complaining about playing Male or even most of our out-of-district games. We just happened to be placed in a weak district, which means we can't 'upgrade the schedule' even though we want to.

Seeing as how Ensworth and Brentwood Academy are two games from 'their non-district schedules of the past' I am disinclined to believe your first point. Also, I'd rather have a 5-5 record against 10 great teams than a 9-1 record against four great teams and six easy teams.

 

It's my belief that better competition yields better teams for Trinity.

Male guys would rather comment on all of the Trinity threads and stir the pot versus starting something constructive about his/her own program. Now that is laughable. We continue to remain complimentary and take our medicine but they choose to "poke the bear" with nothing to show for it except a few regular season wins.

 

Better stay focused on winning that dirty Bucket or Barrel...whatever they call that thing in the Manual game. Hell, they have struggled to hold on to that one over recent history...right?

 

Even with all the glory, still have to get by Manual, X and the Rocks. Even if they get that far, still have to wonder if they can get by teams like Simon Kenton and Scott County.

 

Guess we will eventually find out. If it happens, I'll be one of the first to congratulate the kids and coaches. Until then, I'll keep reading all the fun stuff about a regular season beat down.

I'm neither a Male or Trinity fan, but this thread is good for a laugh.

If you think about it the regular season really doesn't mean a whole lot much like basketball. The real prize is winning a state title.

Too many times I've seen a blowout in the regular season and the other team come back in the playoffs knocking the supposedly superior team out of the championship.

Male can relish the regular season win, but I wouldn't be surprised if Trinity knocks Male off if they meet again.

I'm not blaming Floyd Central for scheduling Male, I respect a team for playing up. However, over the past three years Floyd Central has been ranked 127th, 52nd, and 204th in Indiana and is currently ranked 103rd. Floyd is a good team, not a great team, and certainly not at the level of Male. It puzzles me why Male would want to schedule them.

So this thread started with a fan saying he missed the stronger competition games of the past. Yet somehow people find this as "complaining about schedule" and saying this T team (that beat Ensworth and BA) would go 0'fer?!??
