Did Corbin play any part in Mayfield's missed opportunities or were they all on Mayfield?

 

If this game had been played in the mud of a grass field would that have mattered, you have to think the turf was an advantage for Mayfield, would grass/mud instead of turf have made a difference?

 

Corbin's passing game, was it poor due to bad passes or poor catching or a combo of both?

Mayfield shot themselves in the foot some but Corbin was a tough team

We put pressure on the qb but he floated the ball in my opinion

I would disagree, despite not winning by our customary huge margin I don't think anyone was really in fear of losing even when tied early in the 4th it was obvious that is was just a matter of time and as the weather improved we pulled away. After some halftime defensive tweaks we really clamped down . Stats wise we also had a comfortable advantage

It seems that with Mayfield having so many opportunities they were eventually going to cash in enough of them to take this game. With Corbin not having much speed, I was never worried they were going to break a long one and sneak away with the win. Long passes from Sizemore were these high arcing jump ball sort of passes that would never be able to catch a runner in stride to streak down field, although those throws were always well defended anyway.

You have valid points, but so do I. I never felt we were going to loose, BUT, tied in the 4th, a break here or there and we could have lost. So, I wasn't far off.
