Unless a candidate is a fundamentalist I don't weigh their religious beliefs when deciding who vote for, their beliefs should be private.

I would vote for a moderate Muslim before I would vote for Huckabee.

But you just said you don't weigh their religious beliefs when deciding who to vote for.

I got news for you, it may not be PC to say that in public, but I GUARANTEE you if a person like that was on the ballot(and it was common knowledge), he or she would never get elected.

But you just said you don't weigh their religious beliefs when deciding who to vote for.

I said unless they are a fundamentalist, I already added that qualifier so I don't see your point. If someone is a fundamentalist then I would need to weigh their beliefs to their policies to see if they would be worth voting for because fundamentalists have this nasty habit of trying to make others follow their own beliefs either through proselytizing or trying to pass legislation with those beliefs in mind.

I tend to go with more of a live and let live mentality unless you are trying to force your belief's on me. Fundamentalists tend to do that more so than moderates in the religious sphere of things.

In this country most assuredly.

Who do you think I voted for? Please enlighten me because given your response I highly doubt you are correct.

Have no idea, but maybe I assumed something incorrect. Who you voted for is your business. Care to share that? I will share that I did not vote for the current president.

I did not vote for him on either occasion.

I voted McCain (despite Palin) in 2008

I voted Gary Johnson in 2012

Far from what you might think based on some of the arguments you might have perceived me to make. I am strong secularist when it comes to government plain and simple.

I don't really consider Huckabee a fundamentalist. Devout, yes.

Perhaps I am being too harsh on him, but I do find myself disinclined to give him my vote in most situations.
