Why are they not competitive, are there issues internally in the program? Which leads to confidence in the administration and coaches, why make a schedule this tough, if you know your going to be down. Where did all the good players go? Can they not develop their players? This is Highlands after all, not Boone County.

If you are a parent and in the process of deciding which school to send your child, and you decide against Highlands - academically the top public high school in NKY (and arguably the top high school in NKY regardless of public/private status) - because the football team begins a season 1-4 after winning 7 of the last 8 state titles, then you are an idiot...

It is obvious from your post that you have never experienced the success of a program like Highlands.

THIS is what people tend to forget. The education part. Oh yeah! The number one public school in the state for academics and top 200 in the nation. If you have a kid that's good in football and oh, by the way, education may be important to you...where would you send your kid again??? You can't even get into HHS. There are waiting lists!! But nice try.

Both teams have played extremely tough schedules. This will be a good game. Can go either way.

A priest at our church this morning was asking an alter boy who plays on NCC "what is wrong with Highlands ?" and "Do you Think that the coach is in trouble ?" . I thought that was interesting . Of course the kid couldn't answer it . All he said was that this might be the year that we (NCC) should play Highlands . :lol2:

Do you know how many kids actually try to get in and can't??? HHS separates academics and athletics. The academic administrators could care less about the sports when it comes to admissions. They focus on education. In fact, look up the article...Ft Thomas just created a position that is in charge is validating residency. They are trying to crack down on outsiders "cheating" the system.

 

But I'm sure you know more than HHS fans about HHS. So keep educating us about it.

I've never been a fan of private schools beating their chests when they have an obvious advantage over public. Although they try to downplay it, it's true. You say HHS plays by the rules. I can't say that is true or not . I have no facts, just stories I was told by HHS people. I don't think they have a hidden agenda. Again I'm not saying you're doing that. It's just not the first time I've heard it. I have the same issues with privates competing in the public arena as many do.

I don't know. Only aware of accusations and

rumors. I don't hate. Because I express my opinion like everyone else on here doesn't mean I hate. You feel it's hate because it doesn't fit your bow down and submit to us mentality. Never have, nor will I ever.

Could be, you could be right. Could be wrong. That's why I ask. If you know anything about me it's brutal honest and sometimes in your face. I can accept an honest answer even when I'm wrong. I can be wrong. Just wanted to hear the other side to the story. I'll ask for specifics next time that conversation happens. Then I'll see if they are just disgruntled or honest.
