I know you all have to take the pledge of allegiance to Mac or hit the road.

You are killing me Milfordflash! Of course, you are the same one who said Mac was afraid to play Scott High. :thumb:

Now Hilltopper I didn't say he was afraid to play them and you know I didn't.All I said was the night they were supposed to play it wasn't wet in Cynthiana and the thread said game rained out. Some other people from Scott added some comments too. Finally after two days it was admitted it wasn't too wet to play but it might rain that night.Hey,they are playing good and things are going their way and probably will tonight also.I can't see Bourbon winning unless Harrisons pitching falters big time.

I have no pledge of allegiance to Coach Whitaker at all. I never even played baseball for him! I have just given him the respect that he has earned over the years and that's it.:thumb:

Lets get this back to the game.If you want to start a thread about "Mac" please do so.Thanks

There would be too many hits on that thread Buckman:laugh:

GRC played well in the field and hit the ball but didn't put the hits together. HC played solid spaced out the erors and cashed in. I've never been a Mac or HC fan but I give credit where and when its due. I give it to HC today. They deserved the W.As for Clark and their parents behavior and comments, I didn't hear them but I don't doubt it either.GRC has a couple of players who I might say have been abrasive to their team-mates and their parents are too. This definitely affected the teams chemistry in my opinion. For several years now I've thought that GRC did not put their players all on the field or some in the right positions. last night was a classic example with the DH and pinch hit decisions. I'm not a parent nor do I have a dog in the fight other than being a huge GRC sports fan, this is just my opinion. I don't ever see this changing or GRC getting past HC soon if it continues. Bennett wasn't his usual self but didn't get any breaks either. Perdue was as usual solid as he's been for 5 yrs. but still didn't get the respect from his coaches. You have to be in that small circle of favorites to get there love. Another year we had the best team but came up short. Good luck to both HC and Boubon Co.

I was really disappointed in how some of the Cardinal faithful treated their own players after the game. There were some very hateful and hurtful comments made. GRC has a very good program and will continue to be contenders year in and year out in the 10th Region. Congratulations on a great season Cardinals.

I agree with you 100% on some of the things that were said there were uncalled for and unnecesary. I beleive that the Cards left everything in between the lines and just didnt catch breaks when needed. My appologies go out the the players whom were talked about on behalf of the single minded parents who belittled their son's teamates.

You are a class act KYBALLER:thumb: It is a shame that one parent belittles the accomplishments that the team has had this year. This happens all the time in programs across the state...the parents need to stay out of it...but this will never happen. It is sad.

To all the seniors, you will be greatly missed.

Clark will be a strong contender again next year, they always are! :thumb:

That has happened for some time in the GRC program. You are in or out of the circle of trust so to speak. They have always had a quality program that competes year end and year out but have always allowed outside influence to run kids off that could have made them bigger winners year end and year out. I believe the kids that start in that program and then leave it for whatever reason could be a top 3 or 4 team in the 10th themselves. congrats to GRC on a great year and good luck to all of their young men regardless of the shamefull adults that spoil the high school experience.

How do you know that this has gone on for some time? I have taught there for 14 years and I disagree. For those that think this ....it is not just the GRC program. It happens across the state. I could name programs, but out of respect to the coaches, staff and the athletics involved it is in their best intrest that it is not.

I had some involvement with the kids in the program several years ago and watched good young men with great potential steer away from the program. I agree it is not just the GRC program but that is what the thread is concerning. Not bashing a solid program but parensts and boosters are part of the "Program" and that has been the case for several years now with the circle of trust. Congrats to GRC and i am sure they will regroup.
