Then why must it be luck? Nobody can answer the question as to why one officer died, and the other officer survived an attempted murder, but I believe it's more than luck.

All over what was essentially a traffic violation. Glad all of the officers involved are ok.

Come on Clyde. Why do some kids die of cancer while some hardened criminals live forever? Nobody but God knows the answers to those questions. If you believe everything is based on luck or chance why do you pray?

Christ asked if it be his Father's will that this cup might pass from Him. It wasn't and he suffered the cross. Just sayin'. And I'll agree that this officer is blessed/lucky/fortunate or however you'd like to categorize it.

And sadly, part of me kind of thought this story ended with the officer splitting this guys head like a canoe.

My point is I like to believe it was divine intervention that the officer you mentioned in the thread wasn't killed. I'm not sure what point you are trying to get across. I don't know the answer as to why sometimes God interferes in the affairs of the world and prevents things from happening, and other times He allows things to happen. I don't know if you're saying you believe in divine intervention or not. You're a hard person to read at times.
