People could hate on Pete Carroll however since he went to Seattle he was able to put a team together that he wanted and has been very successful. They have won more games with his style of coaching and being aggressive than they have lost. I would take him in a heart beat as a coach. Not to mention players openly have said they love playing for him.

 

Was this a dumb decision yes. Just like Bill Belicheck when he went for it in fourth down against the colts years ago in their own 20 and ended up losing. Dumb decision but still one of the top coaches in the game at any level of football.

No one knocks the guys success. Relax. It was a dumb call at a crucial time. It's 2 games in a row now.

It was a bad call. Poor clock management in the 4th quarter was just as bad. Some of those decisions leave me scratching my head.

NFL kickers don't "miss hit" kickoffs. So I'm not buying the explanation. Not a great time to onside, or even try to pooch kick it, so this was a bad call on Carroll's part.

 

I'm still not upset with the call at the end of the Super Bowl. He's certainly not the only coach that would have made that call, and really, there are plenty of arguments to support throwing the ball in that situation. Running it would not have been a sure thing...see Lynch getting stopped on 4th and short in overtime yesterday.

If Wilson didn't throw a pick, he could have gotten 2 shots. Just like if he had ran on the down they threw. They were going to get two shots to run, and one to throw in that series had Wilson not thrown the pick.
