September 17, 201511 yr Yes and Yes. At this point in time, I'd agree with you completely. Not that I'd vote for him but I believe he'd still beat all of these contenders.

September 18, 201511 yr Is it a rule that he has to deny what someone believes? If some nut job thinks that then more power to him.
September 18, 201511 yr Is it a rule that he has to deny what someone believes? If some nut job thinks that then more power to him. If a guy says "Obama is a Muslim" and asks when and how President Trump would "get rid of Muslims" he absolutely has to respond clearly that the premise is 100% incorrect. He didn't. Why? Because he plays really well to the people that are angry AND that are looking for a face to pin their anger on. Whether it being a brown-skinned Mexican, a black guy who says "Black Lives Matter," someone who dares to speak Spanish, or a guy with a "funny name" who sounds like he's a terrorist it doesn't matter. Just need someone to say "he's the problem." The guy last name chose the Muslim option. Trump lied to us and said he didn't hear the guy. #ClownShow

I doubt the President now even does that, or if he does he corrects them the way he wants it to be said. We do have a problem in America and at least Trump has people talking about the problems. Maybe the politicians will stand up and take notice.

If I said directly to you while you are campaigning to lead ths country "MtRef, black people are ruining this country and you need to get rid of them" what would your IMMEDIATE response be? 2. The comparison to President Obama or any POTUS is not fair. When someone does something or says something and not DIRECTLY to POTUS then there is not an automatic need to respond. 3. Trump is not talking about solutions. He's talking in generalities. At some point it will have to change or he will lose support. He's whipping the easily-frenzied up without saying anything of substance. You may not like Rand Paul but he has ideas on how to proceed. Trump knows people and has played many like a fiddle.

I want to agree with you on a common sense basis, but Obama has proven twice that you can win doing this.
September 18, 201511 yr I want to agree with you on a common sense basis, but Obama has proven twice that you can win doing this. I'd disagree. Maybe this early in his first primary but at some point high-level details about AHCA were given. Tax plans were given.
September 18, 201511 yr I want to agree with you on a common sense basis, but Obama has proven twice that you can win doing this. The difference being Obama had and has ideas. Now whether they're good ideas or not is up for debate, but he had plans. Trump's plan is to capitalize on the anger of the fringe without offering substance.
September 18, 201511 yr In lieu of a new thread, would Obama win a hypothetical nomination over Sanders and Clinton? If so, would be beat Carson, Bush or Trump in the general election? If you're Obama, you have to be loving this. In 3 years, people will be saying how great he was no matter who wins this election. I can see Obama being like Bill Clinton in that he will be popular out of office.
September 18, 201511 yr You guys are fooling yourself if you think Obama will be popular once out of office. He is an extremist and those on the other side will never respect/forget how he has trampled on the Constitution.
