LIPTON BASH
As a Christian It's actually the job of our government to obey and judge people properly with the laws on hand. It's our job as citizens to hold are leaders in check when it comes to our laws. Whether it's the Rowan County clerk or officials who refuse to tackle illegal immigration , it's all the same. We can't have officials ignoring laws .
doomer
That's modern day slavery, I don't condone it, but I wouldn't call it slavery...they have a choice.
LIPTON BASH
Sooo....how 'bout those corporations taking their money out of America? This sounds like a talking point on a left wing blog. Corporate money overseas is much more complicated and it's legal. You are comparing an illegal activity to a legal activity. But yes corporate money overseas negatively impacts our economy. That is why in many topics I have called for lowering the corporate tax and allowing a forgiveness period for corporations to bring billions of dollars back to our economy. This is just another issue our polticians ignore.
LIPTON BASH
I'm not talking about illegals. I'm talking about legal immigrants. Why are they not allowed to do with their money as they wish? They are. I have no problem with a legal immigrant or citizen doing whatever they want with their cash. The same as I would feel for a corporation. I thought this topic was on illegal immigrants though.

So it sounds like you and I are in agreement then.

My beef falls with the illegals in survey.

Bert
As a Christian While that sounds wonderful, it is very, very idealist and not very realistic. If you just let people take advantage of a situation and they know they will never be caught, it encourages further abuse by that abuser and encourages others to take advantage of such a lacking system. There is nothing unChristian about sealing up leaks in a system, that way, those who TRULY need the assistance can get it because the programs funds are not being depleted on those who do not.
