To be honest, I think NCC's defense is much better this year than in years past. I think if they can figure out their offense they could be tough in the playoffs.

I like how reporters always combine Highlands with another team for total combined state titles. You can combine Highlands with anyone and it adds up to a lot of titles. I expect the article the day after the Simon Kenton Highlands game to say "Highlands and Simon Kenton combine for 23 state titles!" They'll probably leave out that none of the titles are from Simon Kenton.

 

I think it was an appropriate comment on the caliber of the programs Cooper has beaten soundly the past two weeks. It doesn't matter that HHS has 23 of the 28, NCC still has 5 and multiple other trips to the finals which is impressive in it's own right. It's just a way to emphasize how impressive Cooper has been.
