Keep in mind many of the Seniors for Trinity were only Sophomores starting varsity when they beat us on ESPN. At the same time Ensworth was winning state championships. Man we've had some battles over the past 2 years. Good one to keep on the schedule.

 

Looking forward to this one Friday night. 11 guys on both sides of the ball for Trinity will be looking forward to matching up against major D1 talent. I look for this group of Rocks to put on a good show regardless of the outcome. Really liking this bunch.

I think St X came into BA ranked 40th last year and BA scored 30 with their starting running back - quarterback ( was first game for now qb who was playing safety )and best wide receiver out. The same line is back as seniors and everyone is healthy. Only one lineman graduated - all skill players are back. Trinity must have some D to only limit BA to a FG

How much improved is this trinity team versus the past 2 seasons ?

This game is ESPN worthy. Possibly the 2 best teams in the entire 2-state area. I say the margin will be 10 points or less and whoever wins the special teams battle and turnover margin wins it. I don't see either team sustaining consecutive long drives on the other.

A similar poll in Tennessee would probably have a 4-1 margin in favor of Brentwood.

Trinity is well respected in TN. I agree with you on ESPN worthy. I think most people in TN would pull for the home team even though BA is not well liked by many public schools -- similar to Trinity. I also do not think many people favor BA in this game -especially after last week T versus Ensworth game

Line play will play a factor sure, but this is Trinity and it's not like their line is chop liver. Lafayette has a few 4-5 star line and they couldn't advance further than 1st round vs Simon Kenton who had mediocre/ average line. My point is, it comes down to the skill players. What team or skill players is going to show up? I pick the Rocks just because I know they have better overall skill players.

Come to the game everyone - short drive from Louisville - Ba just spent a load of money on their already nice facilities. It's one of the coolest places to watch a game in Tennessee . one of the few places where fans can stand on the sidelines and watch the game just a stones throw away from the players .

 

Nashville is also a cool town as you know and the people at BA are first class. We have a lot of respect for the trinity program - not so much success beating T but one of the few programs within a reasonable drive who will play us.

BAs line is bigger and better than the Ensworth line two years ago. All 5 lineman have been playing together on BA teams since 6th grade. BAs running back - QB and all their receivers have been at school since 6th grade.

 

As much as I enjoyed some of the teams in the past -- is jalen Ramsey - he transferred in from Ensworth. Some of those teams had talent but didn't play together well. This team has been together for a long time and they are healthy.

Which St. X? Louisville or Cincinnati? Either way, I imagine it was quite the game.

St X Ohio last year - BA won in overtime 30-27. Great game

Watched film on BA, will take a Great Effort by the Rocks to win for sure, BA is loaded. If Trinity manages to pull out a W it will be close I believe, gonna be a great game for sure!!!

I hope so too. There is a lot of respect for Trinity down in Nashville especially from Montgomery Bell Academy , Ensworth and BA. Not too many teams over the years have beat BA as badly as T did in 2011 and 2012. I sat in the stands and just thought wow in 2011.

I hated to watch BA get beat so badly but I have never seen a team work so well together as that 2011 T team.

I hope for a good game even though I do believe T will be favored in this one
