Newport Central Catholic/Holmes updates

Obviously this is a one sided discussion for NCC fans, that's ok. How did Holmes look?

 

I was wondering how their running back did?

I think Hans is still playing soccer, they're just borrowing him from the soccer team.

NCC really didn't give Holmes a chance. I think Holmes had one run that gave them 20+ yards, but the running back was run down by one of the Thoroughbreds. One of the Breds kickoffs landed and rolled to the 1 yard line, Holmes had one guy back there to receive and he just watched the ball roll, anticipating it would go into the endzone, but it didn't. Their was coach wasn't too happy with that. Holmes have a good effort, but the line just couldn't keep Lawrence out of the QB's face. I agree that kid is a beast. He reminds me of Brady Thacker and Jack Sutkamp.

Going to be a long year for the Dawgs. They did play hard and had 3 nice deep pass completions, but not much else.

^^^Holmes has some really good skill guys this year but much like most every other year, line play will determine how successful they can be. This year's seniors are a very experienced bunch.

I heard their summer program lacked numbers, that's why I asked. I hope they can get it together.

Jacob Smith seems like the real deal... Maybe it was because it was Holmes, but I think he's headed for a good year

No different than when a game is over, the update thread gets closed and a final score thread needs to be started.
