How Many D1 QBs Will CCH Face This Year?

Talking to Mark Wehry yesterday and we talked about the QBs CCH will face this year.

 

First game is Tanner Morgan. Offers from Wake and UL.

Second game is Cincy St X. QB committed to Penn State.

Highlands QB is committed to CMU.

 

There's 3 definite.

 

What's the word on Legend Brumbaugh from Lexington Catholic? 2017 kid. Potential D1?

 

You don't see that very often.

Maybe not D1 but Fieger has the potential to concern CCH especially if Mr. Slusher can repeat his performance from last season's game.

 

No question on that. Really good high school QB regardless of what his college options will be.

It's hard to project what Legend will be at the next level. I expect a productive season for him this and next year. It's one of those things where I think a lot of QB look good in shorts throwing against no pass rush. LC plays Ryle, Covington Catholic, and Johnson Central in 3 of their first 4 games so I feel that will be a great slate of games to judge him. He definitely posses the height, athletic ability, and mental capabilities to play on Saturdays, but the other things have to be proven against a pass rush and tricky coverages.

Do you have a choice to be anything but DI at something if you are referred to as Legend?

I've seen the Cincy St. X qb this summer, imo, the best of the best in this area, hands down!

Will St. X actually allow their QB to play? They are not the most imaginative offensive minds. Great coaches, but not known for lighting up the scoreboard.

Very similar but not quite to the level 2010 season. When they faced Hempel from Ryle, Towles from Highlands, Krummer (sp) from LaSalle, Bolin from LexCath, Pike from Dixie, Colisimo from Beechwood all D1 college Qb's (at least for a while) add to that Michael Kremer from Campbell County who played a year at TMC, along with the QB from Louisville St. X who I was told played at a d2 school. Brady Hitchew from NewCath also could have been a D3 qb, had he not chosen baseball. They also faced the Qb from Johnson Central, who I believe went on to play at Pikeville.

 

Looking back that was the year of the monster QB's on CovCath's schedule.
