Former Fairview Player Passes Away

My daughter went to school with this Stephen for the entire time he was at Rose Hill-I believe from K-5 through the 8th grade. Stephen was a quiet but highly competitive athlete who always showed respect for his opponents. He was extremely intelligent, very well thought of and a part of a truly wonderful christian family. The entire Rose Hill community shares in this loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and all those in the Fairview community.

God Bless the Crisp family and the entire community. You all need to be there for them, and help them through this, while knowing that Stephen is now eternally in Heaven, in a much better place than here.

^ I don't think that you should be apologizing, I think that we are all genuinely sorry for this young man and his family, end of story.

May God bless the Crisp family, all who knew him and the Westwood Community. My thoughts and prayers go out to each of you.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the parents of this young man. Having lost a son recently, I know the hurt and pain they are going through right now. Just know that this is something you will never get over, but have to learn to live with. We are learning every day. Please also know that God will sustain your family through this tragedy. HIs power, comfort and strength are invalueable to your family right now. As are memories. Deep in the recesses of your heart, a place where only you and God have the key, there are memories locked away and you can go there when you miss Stephen more than you think you can bear. Memories of a shared laugh, a great game or a simple smile and hug can help you get through those toughest of times. And never forget that God's word and your church family are great sources in the down times.

God Bless you Crisp Family, I feel for you and know your pain right now.

First of all I am sorry if my post was innaccurate. I stated that I didnt have complete details but 2 of his friends called me and thats what they said. I would consider them to be good sources but who knows? Maybe they were wrong. I sincerely didnt mean to stir emotions with my post and I apologize.

Hi Goliath~ I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate your comment and I understand how when a tragedy occurs, someone wants to provide all information they might have heard, whether accurate or not. My reaction to your post was extreme according to some, but please remember that I read that post not 24 hours after Stephen's death, and the only reason I was on BGpreps anyway was because I was told someone had started a thread in his honor; I intended to print off the comments and give them to his parents. If it was a knee-jerk reaction, it was only because the news had only begun to set in. No hard feelings, my friend.

I obviously am not goliath but that was avery nice comment, I hope that you, family and Stephens family and friends are clinging to God most of all and to each other. I would certainly hope that I can speak for All Raceland fans and alumni in sending my sympathy's once again. Like I said previuosly, there is no rivalries at a time like this. May god bless.
