In 21 you had to be able to handle the ball, rebound, shoot free throws and hit jumpers. If you played a lot of 21 the only skill you didn't really develop was passing.

You also learn to play through contact...

Yes you did!!! No blood no foul, and sometimes not then :lol2:

You guys also play 36? Same as 21 but no FTs.

We would play 31, and you couldn't go over 31. If you were at the line and had 30 pts and missed the next FT, you went back to 21, on your next made basket from the field. Sometimes you would miss the FT when you hit 29 pts. if you had a big lead, so the previous scenario wouldn't come into play.

There were times I would "toy" with my brother and friends and let them get a big lead, 15-20 pts. Then it was nothing for me to drain 15-20 FT's in a row to take the victory.

Having one in my driveway was a big reason I could shoot "lights out", however, as Ron Dawn told me my freshman year at the final cut.....you sure can shoot the ball, but couldn't play a lick off defense.

I'm willing to wager I could make 90 out of 100 free throws right now, and I haven't shot a ball in over a year.

What's more likely? This or the bet where @Wireman is supposed to make a half court shot or go to jail (I don't remember the details from the original thread, even though I think I started it haha).
