Would you rather they ask your wife who's home alone if they can come in and relieve themselves? That may not be an issue to you but I could see where a lot of husbands would have more of a problem with that than them peeing in their yard.

 

I do residential lawn care and landscaping for a living. I'll be the first to admit that I have snuck off in a wooded area behind houses before to take a leak, never in anyone's actual lawn and never where I could be seen, but it does happen occasionally. I've had customers wives stop me while working and ask if I can come in and help them move something. Assuming that the husband isn't home since he didn't ask me himself I always decline and tell them that I don't care to help but I don't want to make a mess of their house with grass clippings and that we can come back at a later time (when I know the husband will be home.)

I think it depends on the setup of your yard and whether or not he tried to be discrete. If he went to the back of the yard with his back to your wife, I don't think it is a big deal.

 

If I was home alone with my kids and he tried to be discrete, I would not Make an issue of it. MIf he was more obvious and careless, I would have dealt with him myself, on the spot.

I have to agree with those who say it is preferable to letting him in.
