July 8, 201511 yr Author Wasn't this when the devil was trying to tempt Jesus? Yessir. Don't know if the story is completely true, but someone sent me that meme saying that it's a page from one of those "quote-a-day" calendars. Someone really goofed.
July 8, 201511 yr Funny being that it is written in the King James Version. Those who favor the KJV are generally good scripture memorizers.
July 8, 201511 yr This may have given me an idea for my Senior Sunday School class that I teach. I'm always looking at something from a different perspective to keep their interest. (Side note: I teach a class where the average age is over 70, 20+ years older than me. It's hard to come up with something each week that they haven't heard or had a class on 20 times already )

July 9, 201511 yr Yessir. Don't know if the story is completely true, but someone sent me that meme saying that it's a page from one of those "quote-a-day" calendars. Someone really goofed. Again, context is everything. If the calendar was meant for satanists, it wasn't a goof. :sarcastic:
July 9, 201511 yr Here's one from the King James Version that probably meant something different in 1611 than it does today. It's from the Song of Solomon 5:4 "My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him." Again, context helps get the real meaning.
