June 30, 201511 yr After back to back years of sucking, I'm holding out hope that this year will be better. I have to admit this released photo for SW15 has me hopeful #EternalSharkWeekOptimist
June 30, 201511 yr Author I'm sure they'll have a great false documentary. Man I hope they have learned their lesson with that. Megladon or what ever it was called was painful.

June 30, 201511 yr Author Looks like there may not be a mockumentary this season, just looking at the lineup. Sadly there is not a new Air Jaws for this year...but the old ones will be shown in non prime time.
June 30, 201511 yr Sadly there is not a new Air Jaws for this year...but the old ones will be shown in non prime time. I always look forward to an Air Jaws. What day does it start? I just don't get into it as much anymore. Maybe because they are running out of good material. But that picture is insane.

But that picture is insane. Starts Sunday at 8pm There is a preview show "Shark Week Sharktacular" that will be on again on Thursday that is giving highlights from this years programs.
July 2, 201511 yr I hope they improve over the last several years. It took me until May to watch the shows that I DVR'd last year.

July 2, 201511 yr Interesting article with some of the history or Shark Week: The Ridiculous, Bloody, Scientifically Questionable History of Shark Week | Washingtonian
July 2, 201511 yr Shark Week became better after the StepBrothers scene: Robert: That's it. No TV for a week! Dale: "But its Shark Week! *insert other, rule-breaking phrases here* "
July 6, 201511 yr Anything good on the first night? I didn't watch but have the DVR set to record anything new this week.
July 6, 201511 yr It was ok. First show was kind of a continuation of previous year where they were tagging and tracking sharks around Cape Cod. Followed a number of them to Florida coastal areas during the winter. Second show was going into clear cage at Guadalupe Island where there are huge white sharks. It wasn't any more exciting that previous years looking at sharks in that area. I didn't watch the show on Mako sharks so hard to say if it was good. No Air Jaws this year apparently.
July 6, 201511 yr Yes the first night was really good because it was factual documentaries and not make believe crap like the submarine shark and megaladon. Very interesting to know that white sharks are patrolling the Atlantic coast throughout the year.
