Not bashing the kid

I am bashing the idiocy of the process.

You are just twisting the agenda around to meet your needs because I am an outspoken Christian and you cannot stand it because what I speak is the Truth.

That's how it comes off. You are seemingly an eloquent poster and if your intent was to bash the process then I am certain you could have done it in a much smoother manner. You can bash the process without even mentioning the kid or his scoring average from last season.

Your last sentence is one of the biggest reaches in the history of posts on BGP. I do not care if you are a Christian/Muslim/Atheist and my only agenda is promotion of the high school game here in Kentucky along with the promotion of the accomplishments of the many many high school basketball players in our state. Now.......if you are going to tout yourself as the holier than thou Christian(which is how you come off) then yes, when I see posts like yours that comes off as bashing ex kid or questioning why Toledo would want him then I definitely will be wondering what kind of Truth speaking Christian you really are.

Did u guys not read what I said? #1 8th grader in wv- still plays Aau in wv. Moved to lex rite b4 school started. Played on a team that started 5 srs. U earn ur chops in Aau . Period . Kid being recruited by several mid's. Toledo has seen him play 5 times. Had 30 on all ohio red. Doesn't matter if he average .1 or 40- scouts see y play 5 times, pretty sure they no what they see.

As anyone who follows recruiting should know, it's all about taking advantage of opportunity. TC went to elite camp and played well. He earned an offer. It happens.

My kid was at Toledo's elite camp last year, and it seemed as though several attendees had been tagged beforehand for close attention and potential offers. So I'd assume someone already noticed this young man before the camp and liked what they saw -- unless this was a big showcase rather than Toledo's own camp, in which case I have no idea how the process works.

So if you know how the process works, and the young man's pedigree may or may not have played a part in it, why would you even bring the up his avg. as a freshman? When you open up that can of worms some posters view it as bashing the player. Personally I could care less because I'm happy for any player from this State that gets an opportunity to play and pursue dreams at the next level.

And yeah, it's only a verbal which can be rescinded by either side, but it is still positive as there are 100's of others across the State that would be honored to be in this position especially at a young age.

How is it bashing the player when it represents his total statistics from the 2014-2015 season?

I saw him play a couple of times last season.

I believe he has a long way to go.

You do not read much as I saw him play last year.

Good player, just not ready for Toledo, yet.

Why you bashing this kid? Poor effort dude.

Not bashing him.

He has a long way to go before he is ready for Toledo.

I would say the same for any incoming sophomore without much varsity experience.
