How can you be on top for ten years. When every 6a school in NKY has a winning record vs SK in that time span?

 

More playoff wins then any of those teams since Marksberry took over at SK.

In 2011 SK had a 2 win season. A few before that 6 win. A decade?? I don't think so.

SK never had a team as good as they were in 2008. Heck SK would have to win every game vs Dixe for 21 years in a row to get to .500.

Let's look at the 2003 SK season. Posted 1 win under Marksberry vs Owen county... This is his 4th year as head coach. 1 win.... 2011 2 wins.. Muti 6 or less seasons. This is not a top program.

So in the last decade SK had only advanced past the Regional Championship game 1 time. I don't call that dominating the last decade by a long shot. Now they did dominate Independence KY, I will give them that.

 

Again, not dominate. Now to be fair, they have dominated the 2nd round of the playoffs in the years they get past the 1st playoff game. They have never lost a 2nd round game.

 

There is only 1 NKY team that has dominated over the past decade and that is Highlands. Even Beechwood and New Cath would be considered long before SK.

The statement SK has been a top team for 10 years is a joke.

Now to be fair to the school and kids and coaching staff etc. The team has made vast improvements over the past 6 years and are one of the top 6A teams in NKY. I would never say they aren't.

 

They have things going in the right direction and again this year they have the players to win another district title.

What does Simon Kenton need to do to improve in 2015? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

I think the shame is. A Guy can post misinformation. if SKs #1 fan says something you can bet it won't happen. His eye for D1 talent is off just a bit. The crushing thing with Hudl videos is my favorite. He posted xxx kid is going to crush xx kid. Why would anyone post that a kid from one team is going to crush another?? Btw that kid vs Dixie was pancaked Muti times.

I don't think any reasonable SK fan has said they've dominated, only that they're a top 6A team. I would think they would be top ten if you took all their regular season wins and postseason results up against all other 6A teams in the state. Obviously they've had some issues with their strength of schedule but that can probably be said for any other teams they would be compared against in 6A. Once you get past the top 8 or so SK probably fits with several other teams.

Let's not let your dislike for a particular poster take away from the growth of the program and the good work by the kids, coaches and administration. Based on records and achievement, SK has been a top tier program. Not elite, but definitely a top 10 program in 6A.

You back the one poster. but dosent ever know facts. SKs RB is trying to get recuited by the joke of a program AP. I'm sure if they offer. AP will be on the up and up. Lol. Too funny.

Why would you degrade a kid trying to pursue his dream of playing college football at any school? If UK bugs you that much, use the ignore function. No sense in dismissing a kid doing what he loves because you disagree with an adult online.

 

UK and I support the same program, in much different ways. I agree with UK when I think he's correct and disagree with him otherwise.

A good weekend for the Pioneers this weekend. Their 7 on 7 group won 9 games and the Oldham Co tourney but more importantly Cameron Racke was lights out after the first 2 or 3 games. 9 games probably close to 200 passes and not one interception. Once they got rolling they scored at will. All the recievers looked great very few drops and multiple guys had over 10 TDs on the day, all 4 starters had at least 4-5 TDs. Defense got progressivly better as the day went on and as they started to play more aggressive. 7 on 7 scores don't do a lot for me but the way the balled was shared among multiple recievers, the reads Cameron made, the ball being out on time, and so few drops, it was very promising.

 

While that was going on in Oldham Co Colton Williams attended UK's football camp. Not only did they move him from the underclassman group to the senior group, he was also pulled out as one of the 5 best offensive lineman of the camp. Coach Schlarman could not believe he is still only 14 years old. Probably pretty safe to say that this is not the last time he hears from the University of KY
