Player of the Year is one tough luck pitcher.

 

Lost after pitching a perfect game........Tie break rule puts runner at second who scored on a wild pitch and error.

 

Then went 4-0 in State Championship pitching 38 innings and only allowing 2 hits with a 0.00 ERA.........and yet team did not win Championship as she tore her knee in the 12th inning and team lost in the 13th.

I know a kid in Ohio that broke a state record this year , she LOST 8-3 and had 21 K in a 7 inning game . Don't ask for an explanation , I dont have one . I know she beat our team in 2014 in the elite 8 round 1-0 .

How did batter get on then?

A perfect game is facing the minimum amount of batters and retiring each one with out allowing them to reach base. In extra innings in softball, they place a runner on second. This was not a batter allowed by the pitcher. If she scores on a wild pitch, it would still be an error, but the pitcher never allowed a runner to reach base. Game ended with the batter in that inning still at the plate.
