The ball sounds so good off his bat and that swing, man that swing is beautiful. Hopefully Votto keeps going strong for another few years and we can watch both of these guys do their thing together and giving pitchers fits. It's so much fun to watch players with patience and the approach of Winker and Votto. Alex Blandino is another one with a professional approach, good eye and a knack for hitting the ball the other way.

The Reds are one of the teams in the hunt to sign Eddie Julio Martinez, he is a 20 year old Cuban CF'er and the top ranked international prospect.

Jesse Winker with a HR in his 1st AB tonight. He has now hit a HR in 4 straight games!

Adam Duvall has hit a solo HR.

8 of 12 HRs have been opposite field. Love that.

The HR's that I've seen hit the other way look like pop flies off the bat, the ball seems to jump off of his bat. At just 21 years old he could have more power projection in his bat than people think. He will feast at GABP with that swing he has.

He hasn't done very well since being traded. The power has been there but not much else. I'm not sure how well he has looked in LF defensively either. I'd think that he has to be a lock for a September call up.

Winker just hit a 2 run jack in the 8th to give the Wahoos a 2-0 lead. He is 2-4 on the night. That's 5 straight games now with a HR!!!
