capt278 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Here is a black Sheriff giving his thoughts on policing and recent events. Very interesting. Sheriff Clarke: Attacks On Police Will Result in More Black Crime Victims - Right Wisconsin - Conservative politics and perspective powered by Charlie Sykes
jericho Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 I read this last week or something very similar about him. He will just be dismissed as some one who has no clue
PurplePride92 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 I read this last week or something very similar about him. He will just be dismissed as some dumb black republican who is a traitor to all blacks Your never ending hyperbole is admirable.
jericho Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Your never ending hyperbole is admirable. It's true though, no one wants to believe this guy, whether he right or half right. What he says is very true, but that is coming from me, a white person. It seems to be that anyone that is black that tries to tell it in a different light, they are condemned as crazy.
jericho Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 And I didn't say or mean it in a bad way, but from what everyone on here says is there are no Blacks that are looked at in a good way, all anyone wants to see it the bad from Jackson and Sharpton, even a neuro surgeon gets bashed. Is this guy telling the truth or is he full of it?

Is this guy telling the truth or is he full of it? Jackson, Sharpton and Carson are all idiots. I didn't see or hear anything groundbreaking in his words. Cops are bothered by public perception and now feel they can't do their jobs effectively. I'm glad I don't live in the inner city. It might mean more to me then. IMO any cop that is worried about public perception affecting their ability to do their job should just quit.
jericho Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 ^^^^ I'm not so sure they are worried more with public perception as they are for Being sued and losing everything Fired Labeled a racist

TexasRanger Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I've watched sheriff Clarke several times on cable news and was nothing but impressed. Comes across as totally in charge and a man with a plan. Check out his interviews via google. I think you will come away impressed.
ggclfan Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Then they should quit. Easier said than done...they have to put food on the table and if this is (1) what they are trained to do and (2) what they want to do, why should they have to quit? I imagine there a lot of great cops really scared right now to do their jobs because they can be right 99% of the time and do something perceived as bad one time and their life is ruined. Look at Wilson in Ferguson. He didn't do anything wrong and his life will never be the same again. I can see a lot of cops just doing the bare minimum and trying to not get involved unless they have to. I cannot say I blame them with the climate being the way it is now...

The day I can't perform my job the way I am expected to is the day I look for a new line of work. All of this sounds like a bunch of excuses for lackluster police work in the future and from the looks of things folks are cool with that and understand completely since it means more black victims of crimes.
Djason Unchained Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 This could be a good thing. I hope all cops are scared of black people now and afraid to do their jobs effectively. That should mean no more speeding tickets for me since they'll be afraid that I have Sharpton on speed dial. I'll be more than happy to exploit their fear of black people.

It all depends on WHY they cannot do their job.

May be a good thing for you but not for black people in the inner-city. Since the vast majority of victims of inner-city crime are black people, police basically "mailing it in" will create more black victims...

Yeah, because they do such an awesome job of preventing crime in the inner city now. :lol2:
