Has the UK faculty senate weighed in on this yet?

 

President of Alabama said once that Nick Saban is the best investment Alabama ever made. I would say the same is true at UK with Cal. He is worth every penny they pay him. Publicity, increased enrollment, image of success, ... worth it.

That means nothing. Its not about the money' date=' the NBA having a better job than UK or anything like that. UK will be able to pay him just as much as any NBA team most likely, he is King here in Ky, and can stay as long as he wants. He is not dumb he realizes that. However do you honestly believe that matters to him about which job is better for him? He loves to do what people think he can't do, he loves to prove people wrong. The only time he has failed in his life is in the NBA, and people still say he wouldn't do well. So you can bet on it that he is going to want to prove people wrong. Now he is not dumb though, he won't leave for a job like Pitino did when you have to build it back up. It will have to be a job that he can be successful at right away.[/quote']

 

Do you honestly think people will give him credit for a winning a title with Lebron and Kyrie? David Blatt might do that so pretty much anyone on BGP could as well.

Yes because he would have done what only one other coach has and that is win titles in both college and NBA. I am a UK fan, however people are very unrealistic if IMO if they think Cal doesn't want to go to the NBA and prove people wrong. He would have already been gone if all the UK players weren't coming back last year. He came back because he knew they had a chance to Go undefeated and he he knew people thought that would be impossible in today's age. So yes when the right NBA job presents it self again he is gone IMO.
