10th region predictions?

Featured Replies

From what I saw this summer with Mason County they are the favorite to win the 10th. If Campbell County gets a good draw in the regional tourney they have a shot to win it. I think Scott and Brossart are not far behind these two.

Who do you think will possibly give Campbell trouble in the region other than Mason? I'm curious.

As already mentioned. 4 team race. As seen last year - can throw out matchups when campbell / brossart square up. Anything can and will happen when those two play. And both teams return the core group. So would expect similar type games next year..

I can understand Brossart because of the rivalry and the post play, but Scott loses more than Campbell and CC beat Scott by 21 in districts. I'm interested to see what this season brings.

Will Brossart be better than Bracken Co? If so, please explain why.

Honestly Bailey cummins could handle Brossart.

I think there are a lot of people underestimateing my Lady Bears and that's fine. They will be a dark horse in the tenth. Favorite in the All A. As of today they are in the top 5 in the region. IMO that is. :thumb:

I had the opportunity to see Campbell County play twice in June. I thought they looked very sharp for summer ball. I could see them being a favorite along with Mason this season.

Barring injury, changes in personnel, etc., I see it this way:

1a. Mason County

1b. Campbell County

3a. Brossart

3b. Bracken County

5a. Clark County

5b. Scott

Honestly Bailey cummins could handle Brossart.

The double team cuts down a lot of ball movement options…I believe Mason proved that a couple weeks ago. It really depends on the defensive scheme as to how Bailey will perform. There will be no sneaking up on anyone this year.

New coach, new system at Bracken. Also as BirdBrain said, there won't be no sneaking up on anyone this year.

According to khsaa stats Bailey has led Bracken in scoring her last three years and was second in scoring her 8th grade year. I guess my question is how is it that you think she was able to sneak up on teams this year. No scouting, poor coaching, or something else?

Could be a combination of all 3.

No Love for the Lady Eagles, despite beating all except Mason during the regular season.

Looking forward to being the underdog again this year!!!

Going to hinge on a couple of players showing up every game and playing through the duration. I would expect big things from Kallmeyer and if Stapleton can execute, they should be in the hunt.
