Thank you for your honesty. If you think he did it why should he get away with it just because he was able to hide it. This will have next to zero impact on your team, except for their image, and for the most part will be forgotten by October.

I just don't believe you should be able to suspend a person without proof that they committed the infraction for which you're suspending them. I'd feel the same way with anyone from any team, even Peyton Manning.

Where my stance changes is if it's a legal matter. If you beat your wife, or allegedly did, I have no issue with the league holding you out until the legal process is complete.

When he refused to cooperate in the investiagtion there really wasn't much else the investigators could do but go with what they had from the others that barely cooperated.

What is being left out here is the fact that after the initial interviews the equipment folks had with the investigators, the New England Patriots told them not to go through anymore interviews. So it wasn't just Brady who didn't fully cooperate, Robert Kraft lied when he said they would fully cooperate with the investigation because the equipment guy was told not to talk to them a 2nd time when requested.

Sounds like the cheating with footballs have been going on for a long time with Brady according to AJ Feely. This is even before teams had their own footballs during games and both teams were supposed to use the same footballs during games. AJ Feely when he was with the Dolphins noticed during a game against the Patriots that even though both teams were supposed to use the same footballs that everytime the Patriots were on offense the Patriots ballboy would continue to throw an old ball that was worn out and used already into the game while the Dolphins always ended up with a new football everytime.

This whole thing allowing the teams QB's to break in their own footballs came from a few QB's campaigning to the league about it when Dallas was in the SB and Aikman complained that they kept having brand new balls thrown in about every play and they weren't broke in and hard to grip etc. Seems Brady found a way even way back then to beat the system and had his teams own ballboy make sure he was given footballs that were roughed up already every time they had the ball.

Is this really surprising to anyone?

So they proved that Brady took air out of the footballs?

Nope. That has yet to be proven. That's why I keep saying there isn't a smoking gun. Pure speculation is what we are dealing with.

Define "smoking gun". What evidence do you need?

1. A text from Brady saying "Deflate the footballs"?

2. Testimony from one of the two that Brady said do it?

Or

3. Testimony from Brady admitting he told them to do it?

1. He ain't going to send a text saying that unless he's stupid.

2. Brady will deny it then we have a He said-she said. Would you accept their testimony? Many will not.

3. This would take integrity, which seems to be in short supply in the NFL.

Most NFL QBs have preferences for how they like their balls and express them to the equipment staff. I bet most QBs, before deflategate, were not even aware there was an inflation rule!
