The Future of Golf

After Jordan Speith won the Masters, many people were calling him the next best thing from the United States since Tiger Woods. What do you think?

It was also said that Jordan Speith and Rory McIlroy is the newest version of Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. Sure hope it lives up to all the hype.

I would love to see Jordan and Rory in the last group at any tourney...but especially in a Major.

It will be interesting to see how Speith plays the rest of the year.

There are some really talented younger guys on the Tour that literally have no fear. Speith, Fowler, Patrick Reed and Brooks Koepka come to mind.

Rory is still a neck in front of all of them for now, but it will be interesting to see over the next 3-4 years what happens.

No one will EVER have the effect on the game like Tiger did, but it would be nice to get a new face to the game, especially an American face.

I wouldn't count out former KHSAA State Champion Justin Thomas yet either, his first year on tour and has been right there on Sunday's but just can't hit the shots at crucial moments yet. His time will come for sure.

It's interesting though, that was Speith's 2nd Masters appearance and he has a 2nd and 1st place. Maybe Augusta sets up for him better than many "experts" suggest. If you count him out of any tournament IMO then you need to reconsider things.

Made almost a million dollars in 2015 already.

Thomas is going to make a very nice living, that's for sure.

For what it's worth, he's the best high school player I've ever seen in person and I've seen quite a few.

I think the media is desperate to find a counter product to Tiger, or the next Tiger. Speith has my attention, but he ain't no Tiger when it comes to appeal and drama.

Yeah I think everyone agrees that there will never be a person as dominate as Tiger was from 1997-2008. But the thing about Speith is, there's not one part of his game that holds him back. With McIlroy his putting leaves him hanging sometimes.

I knew Rory and I had something in common! :sssh:
