Had I at the plate, hits a short one, Meso tries to tag, ump doesn't call the out, Me so with a force at third, Frazier throws Yadi out at first. Call is challenged they call Yadi out on the tag which negates the force at third, nullifying the DP. I understand the need for replay but due to the initial blown call they got screwed.
April 13, 201511 yr I was listening on the radio and Marty/the Cowboy were confused. The play didn't end up being a difference but I don't see how you can call the runner safe at 3rd after changing the call. Clearly Frazier didn't see a call so why would he tag him?
April 13, 201511 yr To the title of the thread, obviously replay is flawed. But the question is, does replay bring about a less flawed system?

April 13, 201511 yr A - evidence was not clear to me B - if it was clear to the Yahoos in NYC, you have to put the runners back to 1B & 2B. They basically gave the Cards the SAC they were seeking. What on earth is Frazier supposed to do? "Catch the ball standing the 3B. Nobody is yelling "tag," so it must have still been a force play because Meso didn't tag Yadi, oh look, home plate ump is signalling safe, so he definitely didn't tag him and the force is still on. But wait, maybe it will get overturned. Let me run over and tag the runner that slid over the base just in case they overturn it. Oh well, Yadi is really slow and lazy, might as well whip it over to Votto to get the force just in case the umpire call on the field is actually upheld."
