@HHSDirtyBirds: Birds win 4-0. @Rickraisor moves to 3-0 on the season. Joe Martin finishes it off with a 87 mph heater for a K. Up their record to 7-3.

Very nice twirling by Raisor and Martin. Anytime you travel to the Westside and get a win it's huge.

I think that is 3 or 4 years in a row with a win over Elder.

Agree that it is a very good win.

SR Martin seems to be in a groove with a HR yesterday and a couple of 2B today. Not to mention closing things out with at least 1 pitch clocked at 87.

No errors by either team is pretty good given the stops & starts of this season.

Game played in 1:40.

Raisor might be the best pitcher in the 9th region. Kid has the nastiest change up I have seen from a high school kid. Good to see the Birds winning 2 of 3 this weekend and hopefully they can get some games in this week.

Next up? I'd like to get up to HP and see this pitching staff.

The pitching depth bodes well for the regional tourney Q.

No varsity home games scheduled this week. Birds have a district game at Bellevue on Wednesday and 3 games at Scott in the Doc Morris. Thursday vs Scott, Friday vs LexCath and Saturday morning vs Boyle County.

Bellevue Vets is close enough. Thanks

Home sweet home for you Q...:thumb:
