  1. As good as the game was Tuesday night, last night's game was equally brilliant. They did all the little things right. This is a classy bunch of guys. Anyone who was there knows what I'm talking about. They make me proud to be associated with this team. Eagle Pride fellas...Eagle FREAKING Pride.
  2. Sandman, thanks so much for your kind words. I have been doing the PA announcing for Scott since 2012 when our oldest graduated. It's a blast. I figure, why not make it as much like a minor league game experience as possible. Now if I could just get the school board to approve the exploding scoreboard, we'd be all set. And that Ludlow game was one of the best all season. Jake pitched brilliantly in relief and then to double leading off and scoring the game winner. What a great night. The boys just finished beating Bourbon County 4-2 Jake Ohmer got the last 6 outs on 8 pitches. Another beauty. Thanks again!!!
  3. Different hero every night. Gotta love it!!
  4. Sorry this reply is a little late. I do the PA announcing for Scott so I had a perfect view of this one. After the catcher gave his signs, he very clearly moved out behind the lefthanded batter's box, well before the pitcher made any move to the plate. It was the right call. I think the reason the Highlands coach was upset, was because this was the one time Scott had not drawn a catcher's box when they lined the field. His point must have been that the ump had no point of reference for what was in or out of the box. However, he was very clearly no longer behind the plate. It was a judgement call, but one I could see coming.
