I love how some people now question these kids "handlers" and talk about how terrible it is that they were used, yadda, yadda - especially when those same people were benefiting personally and knew exactly what was going on and why the kids were there from day 1 !

This is exactly why I started the thread. IMO he's exhausted his 8 semesters.

Secondly, the fact that he actually played in games after January have no bearing on anything.

Lastly, anyone else find this quote odd: "..when the school didnt do that, Bill no longer became part of our program."???

Odd that someone would behave that way, or what ?

No, I'm not commenting on anything besides grammar/word use.

I assume Coach Hall was not an English teacher.

Coach Hall was a "Para", however, he does have a teaching degree. As far as Bill Walker, I don't think there is any doubt that he is not eliglible to play in Ohio. He played two semesters of basketball as a freshman at Rose Hill. Further, it is a fact that his "handlers" took Bill out of school because they didn't get their way. Essentially, they threatened (after the Class A Region Championship) that if they didn't get their way and Rose Hill didn't move Bill back down to 8th grade then they would pull him from school. The "handlers" thought Rose Hill would blink and put him back to 8th, especially after Bill had such a great Class A Region. Rose Hill did the right thing, really the only thing, and told the "handlers" that Bill would remain in the 9th grade. So they pulled him from school at the end of Janurary.....and the rest is history.

I would say that the best thing for Bill Walker would be a year at Oak Hill Academy. Notice that in all of the Bill Walker talk there isn't a mention of parental input. There is a reason for that. If Bill were at Oak Hill he would be away from the "Handlers" and under some quality coaching. If he is not already messed up there may still be a bright future for this extremely gifted athlete.
