March 23, 201511 yr Looks like most of the state could see strong to severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon into the evening. As of now the area that has the best chance to see the storms is parts of WKY. At this time the storms, if the develop, will be widely scattered and not to organized. Kentucky is in the marginal area for possible strong to severe storms. After this front pass through we could see temps drop to 20 degrees below normal. Also there is a possibility we could see so of the "S" word later in the week. Now let me say this it is only a possibility at this time. I'll post updates as we get closer to Wednesday.

March 24, 201511 yr Author Tuesday morning update. It seems like the storms for Wednesday will hold off until late afternoon. WKY had the best chance to see strong to severe thunderstorms. These will advance eastward overnight Wednesday night into Thursday morning. As these storms advance eastward they should weaken in intensity. Now for the "S" word. There is a slight chance of parts of Kentucky may see some light snow on Friday. The area that has the best chance is from I-75 corridor towards the east. SEKY has the best chance to see some possible light accumulation. Now this is a slight chance and as of now it is too early to predict any possible accumulation amounts. March 25, 201511 yr Author Tuesday evening update: It seems that the areas of the state that have to best chance to see widely scattered strong to severe thunderstorms will be WKY and the counties along the Ohio River. As of now it seems most of the real severe storms will be in parts of SE Missouri and southern Illinois. People who live close to these areas should keep abreast of the weather in their area. Remember severe storms could pop up in in the areas that are expected to see thunderstorms so keep an eye on the weather in your area. Most of the rest of the state will has a chance to see thunderstorms overnight Wednesday into Thursday. I'll update in the morning. March 25, 201511 yr Author Here's an update It seems that the severe weather threat has increased. The main area of concern is WKY and along the Ohio River to Louisville.
