Ehhhh, I can't claim I'm really ROOTING for them. I mean, I enjoy being able to say Central has something Bowling Green doesn't have (which grows less and less every single year). But I admire their team. They remind me of Central back in the 2000s. My buddy tells me constantly that they play the way Central did back then. High pace, get to the rim, press the crap out of you.

 

That said, I'm certainly going to call it as I see it. They're a very good team and all the tumblers seem to be clicking into place for them. It appears increasingly likely they'll get a third chance to solve the Owensboro problem. Owensboro has beaten this edition twice and beat them last year as well.

Gently as I can put it, it's too late. They needed to adjust in the third, and to my eyes, they didn't at all. And now changing to a passive defensive scheme like zone won't work because BG just simply will not shoot. Boyle County is going to have to be aggressive and take risks. I just can't see this going Boyle's way at this point.
