#25 HOLY CROSS HIGH SCHOOL - COVINGTON

Covington, KY

33-3

New No. 25 Holy Cross (Covington, Ky.) had a big week. The Indians won the state title as Deja Turner had 13 points in a 35-32 defeat of Allen County (Scottsville) in the championship. Turner had 20 points in a 47-37 defeat of Male (Louisville) in a Sweet 16 semifinal and 23 points, including the winning shot, in a 41-40 defeat of then-No. 9 Elizabethtown in a Sweet 16 quarterfinal.

Dropped out:

No. 9. Elizabethtown, Ky.

No. 20. Olive Branch, Miss.

SWEET!!!

This is pretty cool! Nice exclamation point for the Lady Indians!

Excellent!

For the size of that school that is a pretty incredible feat.

Congrats HC!!!

Wow!

Very nice!

Interesting in that E-Town dropped out of the Top 50 altogether. Not what I would have thought.

Congratulations to Holy Cross and the Lady Indians!
