I know it was earlier in the season but Perry beat one of the tournament favorites in Taylor County by 8.. Since that time Knott has beat Perry three times... First time by 15, second by 23, and third by 22. As well as North Little Rock who is now the 7a state champs in Arkansas..

If there is a big upset in this tournament, I think it's likely this game. I expect Knott to win, but this one could be the hidden gem in the first round.

Exactly my point!!!! I haven't looked but I'll take your word for it that it is better than Calloway co schedule. . BUT......Calloway co doesn't have mr basketball. Calloway co isn't three time defending region champ. Calloway co isn't ranked in the top 3 in the state all season. Calloway isn't a fav in the state tourney.

The fact that they didn't play any games in Louisville or Lexington is unbelievable to me.

But I digress. Go PATRIOTS!!!!!!

Why is it so unbelievable? It's a 3-4 hour drive from Hindman to Lexington and Louisville. The four teams Knott played in Myrtle Beach would all compete for the Kentucky State Championship. Knott played Trinity in a pre-season game. Knott played in and won the WYMT tournament which takes up 3 games on their schedule, sometimes it's not the best competition, but it's usually the best in the WYMT viewing area. Knott played and won at Perry Central twice, which was a top 20 team most of the year!

We have already seen how the experience factor can play a huge role in games up here. Calloway does have a very good team. But most people don't know much about teams from the first region. KCC should win, they have Mr. Basketball but if Calloway can handle the fact its their first time here and take the first couple of punches it should be a good game.

I think Knott's experience will help them alot but also, Calloway hasnt faced this kind of talent. People dog Knott for a weak schedule but has anyone looked at Calloway's? Knott has a few top 20 teams on their schedule. Im not sure Calloway has played a top 50 team.

As long as Knott can make some shots, they'll be ok. If not, Calloway may be able to hang around.

Every game that Knott has lost in the sweet 16 they have shot 32% or less. In the games they've won, they have shot 40% or better.

I think Knott is capable of winning this game by 15-20 points if they make some shots. If they come out cold, it may just be a few points.
