Band thread on football site? :confused:

I could not find the "band" forum and I associate marching bands to football rather than any other sport.

While very few are probably aware, Western HS has an excellent drumline... definately adds a lot to the atmosphere.

Lafeyette won the state championship EVERY year in the 90's

Boone County always has a very good band. I would rate them highest in NKY

Franklin County Has a horrible band, they are awful usually show up to football games in Blue jeans.

I know the thread is what Kentucky school but I just wanted to throw this in.

 

Poland Seminary High School in Poland, Ohio has a student body of approximately 600 students. Of that 600 students 300 of them are in the marching band. It was interesting watching the half time show at a football game last year and seeing 5 cheerleaders a one football player marching at half time. Great band to watch.

Campbell County.

 

Can't say much about anybody's half-time show, but nobody nails the Star Spangled Banner like the Camels. Impressive.

During my years at JCHS(which admittedly was quite a few years back) our band topped 100 members every year. We were always the top band in our area and were always in state competition. Of course, those were the years of MR. D. Since he left for Pikeville College the interest in band has really dropped at JCHS. It's really very sad that in a school our size we can't field a marching band bigger than 50 members.
