March 8, 201511 yr What do YOU think Lott meant with his comments? "Other than being a racist, he would've been great for America." ?? I don't think he meant much of anything with his comments other than trying to say something nice about a man and not putting a lot of thought to them.
March 8, 201511 yr Seems to be SOP for political discourse on this board and in the general arena. That's inevitable, to a degree. The problem with political discourse is the concept that "everything the other side does is bad, because I don't agree," which is extremely lazy logic and insulting to those who do attempt to examine all sides of issues. Take gun control, for example. Since you and many others on here are convinced I'm some flaming, tree-hugging liberal scum, I'm sure you naturally assume I'm all for gun confiscation. That would be lazy and assumptive, used just because it fits a particularly tight and tidy narrative. Now you've gone and lost me. If you'd like to come back to the topic at hand I would love to continue the discourse. My point is that everyone's leanings color every single debate and determines how much break they are willing to give someone. We tend to cut a break to those with similar leanings and come down hard on those who lean the other way. As to what I think about you, you have no idea but I find it interesting how you generalized so broadly. You are left leaning, there is no denying that. At least based on your posts on this site which is all we have to go on. Whether you are a liberal scum and hug trees I have no idea because as to specific topics I have no idea how you feel until you tell me just as you have no idea how I feel until I tell you. I'm conservative which I guess to you means I want to be able to tell people who they can marry or that I want guns available to anyone and everyone without accountability. That too would be lazy and assumptive and also used because it fits a tight and tidy narrative.

March 8, 201511 yr Do you mean Carson's idiotic comments on homosexuality and the implications of such thought processes? Sure, why not?
March 9, 201511 yr I don't think he meant much of anything with his comments other than trying to say something nice about a man and not putting a lot of thought to them. I love me some cognitive dissonance. You go, boy!
March 9, 201511 yr I love me some cognitive dissonance. You go, boy! And you once again prove my point. You're amusing if nothing else. Keep trying.
