Just Wondering if anybody thinks that these two schools will eventually do what Mercer and Harrodsburg did and make one big school? I heard Danville's numbers get lower and lower each year of Kids. What do you guys think?

I don't think it would. Seems like Boyle County enrollment is growing pushing them from 3A to 4A. While we hear Danville is declining in numbers and still in 2A. If this ever did happen they would be very hard team to beat with the talent they would have.

Sorry about that. I keep looking at old numbers. But 3A is where they were before moving to 4A. But glad to see them back in 3A. I would say if these did consolidate they be a 5A power.

Danville is much larger than Harrodsburg was when they consolidated. And I can't see any desire for it to happen, at least not for a long time.

 

Also, those around at the time know that the Harrodsburg/Mercer consolidation was expedited. It likely would have happened eventually, but it didn't have to happen when it did.

If it does happen, but I don't think it will, it will not happen in our life time.

Boyle will almost certainly be back in 4A in the next alignment.
