He has stuck his foot in his mouth numerous times and the campaigning hasn't even started. He seems polarizing and that is the absolute worst thing we could have in Washington right now. Hilary brings a lot of luggage that will galvanize the far right in an effort to ensure she isn't elected. As we saw with Sarah Palin, just being female isn't enough. Whomever is the first female president will have to prove herself to appeal to women with her brains/platform. She'll have to out perform the "boys" on both sides of the aisle.

Obviously my assumption is that the Dem would be a better candidate so I would be casting a vote for the better candidate, not against a candidate. As I said, "I would likely vote for the Dem". It is possible the Dem candidate could be even worse than the Republican, and in that case I would vote for the Republican nominee even if it were one of those on the list that I don't like. I always vote and I always vote for who I think is the better candidate, even if I don't like them.

To paraphrase Lloyd Bentson(RIP), " Gov. Palin, I know Hillary Clinton; and Governor, you're no Hillary Clinton." Somehow I believe Hillary would outperform Sarah. Hypothetically, of course. The GOP, as crazy as it is, would never nominate Lady Palin.
