gchs_uk9 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I'm hesitant to post this and hopefully it doesn't become a negative, but getting ready for district tournament play I see that three teams were winless on the season: Cumberland County (0-24) Riverside Christian (0-23) Rose Hill Christian (0-20) My question for you guys: Have you ever been on a winless team in any sport? How did you deal with it?
True blue (and gold) Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I'm hesitant to post this and hopefully it doesn't become a negative, but getting ready for district tournament play I see that three teams were winless on the season: Cumberland County (0-24) Riverside Christian (0-23) Rose Hill Christian (0-20) My question for you guys: Have you ever been on a winless team in any sport? How did you deal with it? Winless teams making the post season? I thought that only happened in football. :sssh:
CBDV Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Winless teams making the post season? I thought that only happened in football. :sssh: 3 vs how many in football? 45 minute bus ride vs. 2 hour ride in football? Small chance of physically getting hurt vs. what in football? Entire post season over in 3-4 weeks vs 5 in football? The whining and moaning on the football list-serve this week is priceless too........
cathbird Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I was on a winless spring soccer team in the 7th grade. We lost every game by like 5 or 6 goals. Nobody on my team really cared. We were a bunch football players who were playing soccer just to do something other than baseball. We even got trophies for our perfect season.
Wireman Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I was on a winless football team at Magoffin County in 1993. The season ended with 11 players playing ironman football in the final game. There was also a nasty brawl vs. Paintsville and a coach that pooped on the river bank during a game. No really.
Quagmire Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I played at Augusta when we lost 49 consecutive games. Kudos to Faith Heritage (IN) for being worse than we were. We made headlines when we broke the streak. It's amazing to me how far the program has come from the very bottom in the late 80s to now when the Panthers are regulars in the 10th region tournament.
Statstuffer Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Rose Hill was beaten last night by Boyd Co so they ended their season 0-21. Both Cumberland Co & Riverside Christian's games are scheduled for tonight.
