Was he D1?

Played at Campbellsville then transferred to Thomas Moore.

When I had some health issues that started a few years back one of the first things drs asked was about concussions from sports. I said I had two documented. Im glad it is being taken serious by many people now

I wonder if there's a difference in "level" and the frequency of occurrence

I know Lawrences Sophomore year in the state title game he was carted off the field and taken to the hospital. The hit would probably be a personal foul now.

Great to hear Chad talk about his experiences and more importantly, what he's trying to do as a coach to prevent injuries to kids. If football is going to survive, trainers/coaches/doctors and administrators will need to make head injury prevention a much more important part of their programs.

Clean hit.

Clean hit.

Do you have video? He said he thought it would be a penalty now. He didn't say it was dirty or anything. There are a TON of hits that over the years that were legal and considered clean that NOW would be a penalty. Had one called on my rb this year when he lowered himself for contact. The RB got called for the penalty.

You're really digging. The pictures do not clearly show a personal foul and you're wrong about the other thing.

Read the thread! I watch the game in person and watched the film. It would be a penalty now.

I was at the game (if you can call it that) as well. You're wrong.

In today's game (not then) it would be close to be if not called a targeting penalty. If the cast made contact to the head. The penalty has nothing to do with if it was intended but just if contact was made to the helmet.

What is startling about the whole thing is that score...48-0 Ouch...
