If my son was a highly recruited QB trying to win a starting spot at UK. I would have a serious problem with him at a bar in another town fighting with EKU players! He should be spending is off time doing something good in the community like at a childrens hospital spending time with sick kids or working out getting ready for the season. Not spending the night at a bar considering he is under age!

I get that everyone has different views on fighting and what's acceptable.

 

However, saying the guy got "jumped" is a bit much. It's not like he was sitting on the bar stool minding his own business and 3 guys attacked him. He rushed into a crowd swinging. It wasn't just him and the 3 players. Many looked to be in the scrum. One kid (I'm guessing Baker) looks to get some serious licks on the kid's face.

Deuce, if me , you,and MTGL were standing around the bar and some big cat came charging at PP92 I can guarantee you that 2 of the 3 of us would be jumping into help PP92 even if that meant throwing hooks.

Roman Empire is 100% right on having your brother's back. If a friend gets into a fight, even if he started it, you don't just stand there watching. You help your friend.

 

UKMF says he wouldn't. That's fine. He's different. I know there is a point , though, where even he would decide to stand up for someone and fight on their behalf.

If by "defend" you mean hold off on agreeing with every jackball who posts on a message board with "sources" then , yes, I defend not only Drew but everyone. What did we hear? A bottle was used to cut the kid? Anyone see a bottle? We hard 3 UK players "jumped" the guy and no one else was involved. False and false.

 

In the BB gun incident, I never defended Drew. As I told him personally, he has to be smarter even though there was no harmful intent. He could have put some campus security guy in a really bad place. If not wanting him kicked out of school for the incident was defending him then I'm guilty of defending him.
