* coldweatherfan is our 7th winner in 8 weeks of competition, with 2-3-Zone being the only competitor to have won two separate weeks. Can'tcoach hasn't won any weeks. Ha, ha, ha.

* Only 3 of 17 competitors correctly guessed the 5-point Super Game. Our top two weekly finishers, coldweatherfan & MJAlltheWay24, along with newarkcatholicfan, who finished tied for 3rd, picked Kansas to defeat Texas. Everyone who picked a Rick Barnes-coached team to beat anyone should be banished from Earth.

* Speaking of MJAlltheWay24, he scored 14 points for the 4th time this year, which was good enough to edge PurpleZilla92, who finished with a 12-pack--in more ways than one.

* Still no mcpapa. We didn't like him anyway.

* UKMF, in his second week of action, scores another 9. He'll go for the trifecta in, you guessed it, Week 9.

* Maintaining a comfortable lead in the Overall Season Standings is sealedpower. However, the strong Week 8 finish by coldweatherfan moves him ahead of Can'tcoach (ha, ha, ha) and into 2nd place. I really hate that.

Really would have liked to pick up the win, but stretching the lead against PP92 is just as gratifying.
