Spring Break and Missing Games

Featured Replies

I spent 4 years of spring break following my son around while my wife and daughter spent those weeks on a beach in Florida. There was not even a second guess on my part because i was the one that put the baseball in his hand when he was a youngster. My son loved the game and would never ever have considered missing games for a beach vacation.I just dont understand how as a parent when you have made a commitment to the team and your child that you would even consider taking a break.I looked at it like this.He was only going to be playing this for 4 years and that beach will be there forever and he felt the same way.We both missed the beach but i wouldnt have traded those 4 weeks of vacation for anything else. When you make the commitment do yourself a favor and stick to it your child will learn something from it.Nuff said:irked:
