SIXTYFEETSIX, Congrats to you and your teams tournament. The season is young and I know you will only get better as the season progresses. Good Luck and hope to see you soon in N. Ky. JD

Who was complaining. Lee has a very, very good team. I don't think that was ever in question. Owsley did pretty well getting where they got. In the region Lee will have to use their aces at the beginning also. Or take a chance.

I agree Green Machine, and that is basically the point I was making earlier about Lee County's pitchers. They have the two top men, Osbourne and Thomas, and then Matt Perkins as the number three, who appears to me to be an unusually good third pitcher for a school the size of Lee, and that really gives them an edge in tournament such as the All A region. Josh Drake is not bad either. Small schools usually are at a pitching disadvantage, just because of numbers, but Lee is unusually deep on the mound this year, so the "chance" you correctly refer to is not as great this year for the Bobcats as it is most years at schools like Lee and Owsley.

First baseman is Matt Eversole, missed all of last year with a knee injury, and you are right, he can play. Look at him next time and imagine what kind of football player this kid would have been if he had been someplace where e could have played.

Badcat, you and Sixtyfeetsix should play full court basketball with Matt at age 44. I know being slightly over the hill prevents that but let me tell you, he is a hoss. He is intense in all phases of the game. A natural athlete.

Atticus, you mess up Matt's knee playing pickup basketball, and us Lee County baseball fans will come hunting you with his aluminum bats!

I know what you men badcat and I think Lee has the best team in the region. I also think Owsley has a good team as well as Estill and Powell. Just waiting to see how things play out for the 56th district.

Lee is the best team in the region. But Owsley, Estill and Powell on any given night could defeat Lee County. This is a loaded district. Each team will continue to grow over the year.

This is a class act. I first met this kid last year at a game while he was injured and I spoke with him for a while. It was not until early in basketball season when he came up to talk to me at a game. Most people would have never thought anything about this but I thought this kid was a great most people would never remember a stranger that they met at a game much less come over to speak and wish you good luck before a game.

Matt Eversole is one of the finest, most personable, young men you will ever meet.

I told him that I have a uniform that would fit him nicely!

Maroon is just not his color.
