January 5, 201511 yr Dalton is horrible. Today and the last month proved that. I'm done with him. Dalton and Marvin will for sure be back next year because of their contracts... No way Brown cuts them loose and eats the money. If he does make a move, it'll be after next season IMO.

Yet, even if he completed 7 of 9... Under Marvin, for whatever reason, somehow they'd find a way to lose. It is what it is. It stinks and it will continue to smell for years to come I'm afraid.

January 5, 201511 yr From a non-Bengals fan perspective. It's been amazing what Marvin has done since he took over. There is no denying it's a huge accomplishment to turn around an entire franchise like he did. He gets props for it. That being said, he's had a talented roster for the past couple of years that are fully capable of at least winning one playoff game. The fact that he still hasnt gotten it done is very concerning. A big problem with firing Marvin would be who takes over? There isn't exactly a huge pool of coaches out there currently.
January 5, 201511 yr Every single team in the NFL has injuries and to be a part of a fan base that annually uses that as an excuse for horrible coaching and horrible QB play makes me sad for this fanbase because they will never get it and will always be happy with mediocrity. Shoot, the Cardinals with a 4th string QB made the playoffs. Injury excuse is such a cop out especially for a team many have said were the most talented over the last 3 years. You realize you keep proving the point on the talent right? All teams have some injuries but not always to their best players and at some the most key positions and get they still made it. Which we all know how you feel about Dalton and even said the Browns have two qbs already better. And we know you think Lewis is the worst coach in the NFL. So how can a team with all those injuries and with the worst head coach in the league as you have said before and a horrible qb make the playoffs unless there is more talent than what you give then credit for. Every time you get on your Dalton and Lewis being the worst ever kicks, it completely contradicts your arguments you have fought so hard on in regards to talent on the team. A head coach and a qb play the biggest impact on a game. So if a team has horrible ones at both spots then they need a lot of talent in other areas to just compete much less make the playoffs. So you are definitely right I must admit on one of these arguments. However results have shown you are wrong on the other. If the coach and qb is as bad as you claim. Then the talent must be better than what you ever wanted to give it credit for. Or maybe you were wrong on Dalton and lewis and was right about the overall talent. Or maybe you were not completely right on either. Lewis and Dalton are not as bad as you say, and maybe there not as talented as i said. Its a mixture of both possibly. However when you get on your Lewis and Dalton kicks, it completely contradicts your talent argument then because no way they make even the playoffs then.

January 5, 201511 yr Author ^^^ A team with the most talent in the league over the past 3 years does not go 0-3 in the playoffs they also don't send the least amount of players to the pro bowl in just their own division the last 2 years this years pro bowl players from the Bengals consist of a wr and a kicker lol. So basically you can take your tiresome talent gibberish and put it I your pipe and smoke it because that may be all it's worth.

January 5, 201511 yr At best, and this is based on the pressure of being a QB or head coach in the NFL.... At best, they are 12th best at what they do as they are consistently 1 and done in the playoffs... My gut tells me that Dalton is in the 15 -20 range and Lewis is about the same... Both seem like A-1 guys, but we need winners. I'd start with canning Lewis. Dalton is still young, maybe a different coach with a different message could instill some confidence in him and teach him how to perform in the biggest games.

He is 25-32 range and closer to 32 best I admit to giving him a kind grading... But as I said, best would be 15-20 IMO and is probably closer to the bottom as you said.
