I really thought Newport would take this one. Good win for the boys from Union.

There's been a lot of game results lately having me scratch my head, but I think that this one takes the cake. Outside of perhaps the top 3 or 4 teams in the 9th Region the rest just seems like a mish mash that can provide such various results on any given night. I thought that I was zeroing in on a proper ranking, top to bottom, in the 9th but now I'm just throwing my hands up. I haven't a clue. :idunno:

A week ago, Boone wasn't in the top 10 and now they're maybe a legit #5.

 

Newport was #6 and now they're maybe out of the top 10. Gonna be tough for me when I do my weekly report this week.

Then Boone beat Cooper

 

Campbell easily took care of Newport and both Campbell and Newport lost to Madison Central in close battles.

 

Now Ryle beats Newport

 

Holy Cross beat Cooper, Boone, and Simon Kenton

Brossart beat Newport

Brossart played Holy Cross close but lost

Beechwood beat Brossart

Ludlow beat Beechwood

 

Simon Kenton beat Male

Simon Kenton beat St. X

 

Lloyd hangs with Holmes but lost.

St. Henry hangs with Holmes but lost

 

Holmes played Bullitt east close, and hung with Ballard for a while, and beat a tough Chicago De La Salle

You hit the nail on the head here. I don't know which one is the "head-scratcher" of the season so far, this one or the Boone Co. 20 pt. win over Cooper?
